Summer red raspberries and blueberries are done for this season.
Our fall strawberries will be ready around August 10th.
Fall raspberries won’t be ready for three to four weeks.
Grapes should be ready about the first week of September.
We are still selling our “Godsend” lettuce and our greenhouse tomatoes.  Our field tomatoes are just starting to ripen as well.
Come see us at the berry farm or at the Lakes Area Grower’s Markets on Tuesdays at the Franklin Arts Center parking lot in Brainerd or the Gander Mountain parking lot in Baxter on Fridays.  We are also at the Nisswa Farmers Market on Thursdays at the American Legion Parking lot in Nisswa.  All markets’ hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

We still have a few of ourInstant Gardens” available at this time. (See below) We are also selling our Heirloom Bedding plants at the Lakes Area Growers Market on Tuesdays in Brainerd, Thursdays at the Nisswa Farmer’s Market, and Fridays at the Gander Mountain parking lot in Baxter, and Ace Hardware in Brainerd as well as at our farm.  Hours for each market are 8:00 am – 12:30 pm.

Tomatoe plants

In addition to tomato plants, we have our “Hardy for this area” grape vines.

Our long keeping “Godsend Lettuce” is available along with our ripe greenhouse grown heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers.

We are looking forward to another great berry season as we had a very good snow cover this winter providing our raspberry and blueberry plants and grape vines with great protection.  We installed a much needed netting protection for our blueberries last fall and are in hopes that we don’t lose them this year to the birds as in the past.  Raspberries should be ready about the 2nd week of July and the blueberries should be ready about the last 2 weeks of July.  Grapes are usually ready about the first week of September.

2009 proved to be a good year for our fall strawberries.  Our customers seem to enjoy the concept of STANDING UP to pick strawberries!  They should be ready in mid-August.

Hope to see you all this summer.  Please watch for availability of berry products so you can call for appointments for picking.

What a lovely one it has been so far.

We have had tomatoes growing since the first week of January and with the many days in March being above freezing and a lot of the evenings staying above 32°, things are flourishing!  Our Instant Gardens should be well advanced by Mother’s Day.  See picture from a previous year that was taken on April 30th.

With the new heating system just installed in our lettuce greenhouse, our long keeping “Godsend Lettuce” will be available about mid-April.
